Meet Elizabeth Conde, LMSW-SIFI, AWA, a dedicated School Social Worker committed to providing comprehensive social, emotional, and academic support to students within her caseload. With an extensive career spanning twenty-five years, Elizabeth has passionately served diverse populations and engaged in various programs, including those addressing domestic violence, homelessness, teen mothers, adult education, substance abuse, and college and career counseling.
Beyond her role as a School Social Worker, Elizabeth actively contributes to the community as a volunteer Advisory Board member for the Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation. She also serves as a Modern Abolitionist Professional volunteer at the Ricky Martin Foundation, working towards the noble mission of ending human trafficking.
As a Civics Teacher, Elizabeth plays a crucial role in empowering individuals to attain U.S. Citizenship and exercise their right to vote, fostering a sense of civic responsibility.
Elizabeth's educational journey reflects her commitment to excellence, holding an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts Psychology from Hudson County Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Rutgers University-Newark, and a Master of Social Work from Adelphi University. Additionally, she possesses SIFI certification (Seminar Training in Field Instruction) and College Advising Program Certification from Columbia University.
An accomplished author, Elizabeth has co-authored and received awards for her work in Latinx/e in Social Work. She is also the author of the inspiring book "Empathy." Fluent in both English and Spanish, Elizabeth is a bilingual Social Worker, contributing to her ability to connect meaningfully with a diverse range of individuals.
